Hi! Thanks for taking the time to come and look at my resume. Please allow me to introduce myself: my name is Aaron and I work as an ESL teacher in Tokyo. I am a certified secondary teacher with experience in many fields and classrooms. I love teaching, and this shows in the dedication I bring to the classroom - my goal being not to leave one student behind on the road to success.
From 1998 to 2000, I worked as an ESL teacher in Korea. During my two years of teaching there, I taught students of all ages and levels - from kindergarten phonics through adult free-talking. Past directors have given me the responsibility of selecting appropriate texts or developing lessons and units from scratch. Thus, I have become well acquainted with a wide variety of materials and resources, and very experienced at developing my own exciting and fun lessons.
By hiring me, you gain 27 packed years of experience. It doesn't sound like a long time until you realize I've spent the last two years in Korea; I've lived in four distinct regions of America; I've traveled throughout my home country, parts of southern Europe and Asia; I've worked for a rock star and a Silicon Valley computer firm; and I am used to handling large non-English speaking kindergarten classes by myself on a daily basis.
If you are looking for a teacher willing to go the extra mile for his classes; a teacher with a lot of life experience and a wide range of knowledge; a teacher with a dynamic personality; and a teacher who is excited to be in Japan, then I am your man.
I pride myself as being a serious teacher with a commitment to student success. If you are interested in talking about job opportunities, please don't hesitate to contact me as soon as possible.
